With Lent just around the corner, we are invited to contemplatively intensify our human journey of faith. We are fortunate to have many supports to accompany us on this adventure. The great mystics of our tradition – in their wisdom and vision – can speak to us today, providing a guide as we respond to the challenges and hopes of our 24/7 lives in our sometimes-frenzied world. During this reflective morning, we will explore some insights from our mystics through time for presentation, prayer, quiet and conversations.
Janet Schaeffler, OP, is a facilitator of days of reflection, retreats, and workshops. An author and college educator, she teaches online classes for the University of Dayton and Boston College. The former director of adult faith formation for the Archdiocese of Detroit, she continues this ministry in a wide variety of pastoral settings.
